CityofBridges’ Top 10 Horror Movie Kills

Kill #7: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - Welcome to Prime Time, bitch!

A NMOES fan-favorite, the series’ third installment expands the mythology of the franchise to include the drug “Hypnocil” and the psychiatric suffering encountered by the children of Elm Street. NMOES3 also marks the rebirth of Freddy as a cocky, all-powerful, benevolent force and begins the tradition of inserting classic one-liners into his kill sequences (though, really, the one liners from Dream Warriors are the best). While the “artery marionette” scene comes in as a close second, this sequence featuring Freddy and Jennifer -between its animatronics and comedic value - emerges as my favorite from the film.
